*Kestrels Soar to Victory with Stunning Comeback Against Surrey Nomads*

Tonight’s clash was always going to be a real test against a strong team, but the Kestrels rose to the challenge in emphatic style, producing a performance full of heart, character, and resilience to beat Surrey Nomads in a thrilling contest.

From the first whistle, it was clear the Kestrels had come to compete. Despite Nomads’ reputation for overwhelming teams with relentless pressure, our boys stood firm and matched them stride for stride. We took the lead twice in the first third, only for the Nomads to hit back immediately on both occasions, showing just how fine the margins were between the sides.

In the second third, we continued to try and play our football, but the Nomads capitalised on an opening and went ahead. It was the first time our boys had found themselves trailing — and the big question was how they’d respond.

The answer was clear: with fight, belief, and a never-say-die attitude. The Kestrels battled on until the end of the second third, refusing to let their heads drop.

Heading into the final third, we set the challenge: don’t concede, go for it, enjoy it — and believe. A bold formation change, one we’d never tried before, added a new dynamic — and the boys adapted brilliantly. They got stuck in, played as a team, and were rewarded as we clawed our way back to 3-3.

Now the pressure was on the Nomads. Could they stop us?
The answer was *NO!*

With momentum behind us, the Kestrels took full control. The belief was back, the football was flowing, and the boys simply wouldn’t be denied scoring 4 goals, winning 6-3!. 🔥
