Tough game today. Long drive & slow start.
We seem to have picked up a habit of starting slow & needing to build into a game. Something we need to adjust & be ready from the get go.

Unfortunately we had some nasty tackles & picked up some injuries. The good news is Max has been checked out by the hospital & his eye is ok. Wishing you a speedy recovery Max!
Zachary also got a nasty knock which we also wish you a smooth recovery Zac.

It was a particularly aggressive game with a lot of nasty unsportsmanlike tackles & an overly vocal coach (putting it nicely). I feel they like to intimidate their opponents & play extra rough to get their wins. They certainly didn’t outplay us in quality. Roughness yes! The Ref was even scared of them.
We went down to 8 players for a while & kept pushing as a team. That’s all I can ask for. Well done for carrying on.

There were good points where we played good football. Great movement & creating chances being the better team. It’s very hard to play proper football with teams like this. It becomes more playground antics.

Roll on the reverse fixture where we can show them who we really are. They out muscled us today but we are definitely a better quality team. We just need to show them.

Well done to all the boys for their hard work & determination. These things happen. We move on & learn from it. Next time will be different 💪
