3–2 Loss

Started well but quickly realised we were going to be in for a game today. Having two ill and a couple under the weather wasn’t ideal, but nothing we can’t work with.

It was really obvious things weren’t quite clicking, and a bit of frustration began to settle in.

The referee made a few blunders and started changing his mind based on calls from linesmen, coaches, and even the children. A number of us got too hung up on decisions we couldn’t change, and the arguing filtered through the team and into our heads — which in turn stopped us playing our football.

In the fourth quarter we decided we wanted to win the game, but it was too little, too late.

There were some positives in the game, but unfortunately they were overshadowed by the not‑so‑good.

A big learning curve today and a point to build on. Tough loss to take, but we reset and go again next week.
